Today, it is made up of the western suburbs of Philadelphia which runs along Lancaster Avenue on Route 30. Located just 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia, it’s an ideal location for a wedding venue if you’re looking for something outside of Center City!
Terrain Garden’s unique location is also in close proximity to Longwood Gardens. Just a few short minutes away, Longwood Gardens are the French gardens of Pierre Du Pont and feature waterfalls, a larger-than-life conservatory, and a castle. I love taking the drive to Longwood Gardens with my couples and their wedding party after their union at Terrain Gardens, in order to capture their portraits!

Terrain Gardens has four unique spaces. A reception room, a garden porch, a ceremony garden, and a private getting-ready suite. Nestled away in seclusion, the ceremony garden provides a tucked-away space for an intimate wedding ceremony. A stone path leads the way to the ceremony altar with the sweet scent of wisteria filling the air. Your cocktail hour will take place on the garden porch, a space that is protected from the elements and overlooks the ever-changing greenery housed at the venue.
Finally, in the reception room, you & your guests will be seated under the venue’s high ceilings. Natural light streams in from the skylights above, bathing the space in a GORGEOUS amount of light. Additionally, the venue’s high ceilings provide room for floating installations that can be adorned with florals or twinkle lights. All in all, creating an atmosphere for an unforgettable wedding day experience. Dining options at Terrain Gardens all consist of menus crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
