Elegant, timeless, and romantic, the Willows at Aschombe Mansion is a historic wedding venue with a story to tell! An 1891 Victorian mansion sits on the lush grounds of 22 acres of gardens. Perfectly restored to its original grandeur and ready for an unforgettable wedding day experience.
If you love the look and feel of hand-carving furnishings, winding Victorian-era staircases, and stained glass windows, then the Willows at Aschombe is an amazing venue to transport your wedding day to another era!
Originally constructed in 1891, the Willows at Aschombe Mansion was built as a summer home for lady Margaret Moser. She was the widow of the Honorable Henry G. Moser, a member of legislature and former associate judge of Cumberland County. Henry G. Moser’s family was one of the oldest and most prominent in Berks County. The Moser family later became a fixture of Philadelphia’s high society.
So, it should come as no surprise that the Willows at Aschombe Mansion is not what would instantly come to mind when imagining a modern-day summer home. Nevertheless, the Willows were built with all the beauty and splendor of days past. Now, they open their doors to any couple wanting a wedding day filled with the opulence that Philadelphia is known for!

The Willows at Aschombe Mansion describe their wedding day offerings as “wonderland wedding” packages. They provide the option of one-day, two-day, or three-day events. Their level of detail is unparalleled and only rivaled by their top-notch service. The venue has the ability to host you and up to 250 guests! Their signature wonderland package also includes access to the preparation suites located on the third floor. As well as access to the “gents lounge”.
One of my favorite accommodations about hosting a wedding at the Willows at Aschombe is they grant your guests private entry via the grand entrance corridor and portico. Additionally, your guests are invited to explore all six rooms of the historic mansion’s first floor. How AMAZING is that? If you love Philadelphia’s rich history as much as I do, and you’re ready to make the Willows at Aschombe your wonderland wedding, I would love to hear from you!
