Excelsior is a multifaceted venue, with several indoor and outdoor options. The locations throughout the property that are accessible to their couples include; the lobby, grande salon, grande stairway, terrace, empire room, deck, catacombs, garden courtyard, and the bridal suite. The property is a combination of buildings and the staff at the venue only accommodate one wedding per day. So you and your guests will have an exclusive experience. The venue can seat a total of up to 275 guests. Accommodating wedding days of no less than a total of 100 guests.

In the list of locations throughout the property, you might’ve noticed that I mentioned the catacombs. And yes they are ACTUAL catacombs! Formally known as Excelsior Hall, Excelsior was constructed in 1852 at the height of the Victorian Era. With its name now sitting on the coveted list of national historical landmarks. The barrel-vaulted limestone chambers of the catacombs, which previously housed the Sprenger Brewery, now host up to 125 of your guests for post-ceremony cocktails! You can take an in-depth look at the catacombs, with a virtual tour, here.
Aside from the grande stairway, which is a gorgeous location for your bridal portraits, my favorite location on the property has to be the garden courtyard. Perfectly nestled between two brick buildings, the garden courtyard is an optimal on-site ceremony location. Here, your & your guests will feel its transportive features in a charming setting. You’ll get to see one of my bride & groom’s weddings in this space, through the photos below!
